The Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) celebrated Miners' and Metallurgists' Day. During the festive events, the management presented significant investments in production modernization and awarded 18 employees for their high professional achievements.
The celebrations began with a reception organized in the courtyard of the Kajaran Cultural House, featuring traditional Kajaran sweets and a fair. Simultaneously, a personal photo exhibition by photographer and long-time employee Nver Zelian was opened.
On the occasion of the holiday, exhibits from the Kapan Geological Museum were also presented, showcasing the development of the mining industry in the region.
During the ceremony, attended by regional leaders and representatives from the communities of Kajaran and Kapan, partner organizations, industry specialists, and guests, 18 employees of the company were awarded for their high professional results and significant achievements.
Congratulating the miners and metallurgists, ZCMC General Director Roman Khudoliy emphasized that the foundation of all the company's successes is the work of people. He noted that last year and in the first half of 2026, the company allocated about 50 billion drams for equipment purchases and modernization of production assets.
“These are investments in the future of the enterprise, its modernization, and the implementation of new technologies. More than 7 billion drams were allocated for social programs and community support,” he stated.
According to Khudoliy, in 2026 the combine took important steps in corporate governance and sustainable development. He noted that ZCMC is the only company in Armenia that has joined the UN Global Compact, and over the past two years, the company's ESG rating has improved by 20 points.
