Viva is continuing the rollout of its 5G+ network in Armenia, bringing next-generation connectivity to the country’s south. According to the company, the service is now available in Goris, Kapan, Kajaran and Sisian, as well as in Jermuk, Vayk and Yeghegnadzor.
Following the expansion into Syunik and Vayots Dzor, the operator says Armenia’s only 5G+ network is now available in Yerevan and 32 towns across eight regions, covering about 80% of the country’s populated areas. The company says the southern cities play an important role in Armenia’s economic, tourism, industrial and transport systems.
Viva CEO Armen Avetisyan visited Goris to review the rollout on site and toured base stations where the final stages of the 5G+ deployment were under way. Speed tests showed download speeds of 522 Mbps and upload speeds of 91.24 Mbps.
Avetisyan said the company is continuing to invest in network development so users can work, study, grow their businesses and stay connected more comfortably. He said trust is built not through statements but through the quality of everyday service, and invited customers to assess Viva’s network for themselves.
The company says 5G+ can support faster data transmission, large-scale IoT systems, cloud services, real-time processing, as well as industrial automation and remote monitoring. Viva added that the rollout was enabled by what it described as the largest investment in acquiring radio frequency spectrum in Armenia’s history, leaving the company with twice as many frequency resources.
Viva first launched 5G+ in Armenia in July 2026, making the service available in Yerevan and in towns across the Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Aragatsotn regions. In the same month, it received a Speedtest award as the company with the fastest mobile network in Armenia in the first half of 2026.
