Telcell Wallet starts accepting transfers from Russia

According to Telcell, funds are credited instantly, while fees are set by the sending banks.

Telcell has announced that transfers from Russia can now be sent directly to Telcell Wallet. According to the company, the funds are credited instantly, without extra steps or waiting time.

The service has the following top-up limits: up to 1,000,000 ֏ per transaction, up to 5,000,000 ֏ per day, and up to 20,000,000 ֏ per month. Telcell also says there is no fee for crediting money to the Wallet, although transfer terms are set by the sending bank.

For SberBank, the maximum amount of a single transfer is the Armenian dram equivalent of 50,000 ₽. The fee is 30 ₽ for transfers up to 3,000 ₽ and 1% for amounts above 3,000 ₽. For T-Bank, according to Telcell, customers can send up to 20,000 ₽ once a month without a fee, while transfers above that level are charged 1%.

To make a transfer, users in the SberBank and T-Bank apps need to choose an international transfer to “Армения”, then select the option to send by phone number, enter the recipient’s number with the 374 code, and choose Telcell Wallet from the list of banks. The user then reviews the amount, details and fee before confirming the transaction.

Telcell advises customers to check current tariffs in the relevant bank’s app in advance, as the final terms are determined by the sending bank.
