The forensic department of the 'Forensic Scientific Practical Center' was inaugurated in the Meghri community. Minister Anahit Avanesyan attended the opening ceremony. The project was included in the government's 2021-2026 action program, which aims to modernize the Ministry of Health's 'Forensic Scientific Practical Center'.
The government allocated 261.1 million drams for this facility. The newly constructed building has high seismic stability, meets modern international standards, and includes an autopsy laboratory equipped with modern medical devices.
This branch in Meghri is the first of its kind, with a similar one planned to be built in Kapan and Yerevan.
