Turkey is gradually strengthening its energy influence in the South Caucasus, an expert said in comments on regional developments.
In the expert’s view, the trend is becoming more visible in the energy sphere, where Ankara’s moves are increasingly touching the interests of other major players.
Those interests include, in particular, Russia and Iran, whose positions are more frequently intersecting with Turkey’s activity, according to the expert.
The assessment suggests that the South Caucasus energy agenda remains competitive and sensitive, with several regional powers involved.

The Finport.am report presents an expert view on shifting balances of influence in the region’s energy sector.
