Pashinyan Meets with Iranian Vice President: Focus on Second Bridge, Energy, and Roads

Infrastructure projects discussed during the official meeting

YEREVAN, June 26. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Iranian Vice President Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi.

Pashinyan emphasized the importance of strengthening peace and stability in the region, which will contribute to the development of relations and cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of projects aimed at developing cross-border infrastructure between Armenia and Iran, including the construction of a second bridge, a new terminal, cooperation in customs, and the improvement of customs procedures.

They also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in the energy sector.

Additionally, joint projects in road construction were discussed, as well as prospects for further cooperation in agriculture, mining, infrastructure, and other sectors.

Special attention was paid to the processes of unblocking regional communications and the new opportunities they may open.

Pourmohammadi conveyed warm greetings from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to the Armenian Prime Minister and thanked the Armenian government for its humanitarian support.

At the end of the meeting, Pashinyan sent reciprocal warm greetings to Pezeshkian.
