Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court has upheld a claim by the Prosecutor General’s Office over the disposal of a former kindergarten building and related property in Odzun, part of the Alaverdi community in Lori Province.
On December 15, 2025, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a lawsuit against the Alaverdi community and a private individual, seeking to invalidate a sale agreement signed on February 2, 2017 and to apply the legal consequences of nullity.
In its October 6, 2026 ruling, the court voided the transaction covering a 784.6 sq. m land plot occupied by the kindergarten building, a 57.3 sq. m structure, and fences measuring 26.52 sq. m and 12.77 sq. m in Odzun.
As a consequence, the court also invalidated the state registration of ownership rights recorded in the private individual’s name for the assets in question. The cadastral value of the property is 1 million 888 thousand drams.
Once the ruling enters into legal force, the former kindergarten building and the land plot will be returned to the Alaverdi community of Lori Province.
