Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court has upheld a claim filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office over the disposal of a former kindergarten building and adjacent land in the Odzun settlement. The Prosecutor General’s Office announced the decision.
According to the agency, on December 15, 2025, prosecutors filed a lawsuit against the Alaverdi community of Lori Province and an individual, seeking to invalidate a sale and purchase agreement signed on February 2, 2017, and to apply the legal consequences of nullity.
In its October 6, 2026 ruling, the court invalidated the sale agreement covering a 784.6 sq. m land plot occupied by the kindergarten building in Odzun, a 57.3 sq. m structure, and fences measuring 26.52 sq. m and 12.77 sq. m.
As a consequence, the court also invalidated the state registration of ownership rights over the assets in the name of the individual. The cadastral value of the property is 1 million 888 thousand drams.
Once the ruling enters into legal force, the former kindergarten building and the land plot will be returned to the Alaverdi community of Lori Province.
