One of Yerevan's beloved spots, the Cascade complex, which has been the capital's main landmark for decades, will finally receive its deserved, complete, and modern look. Recently, a strategic cooperation memorandum was signed between the RenShin company and GTB Development, which implies a unique collaboration for the sake of the city and culture.
Through this partnership, RenShin acquires a stake in the Cascade project, bringing nearly 25 years of rich experience and a successful track record of around 1 million square meters of premium-class construction. The largest projects executed by RenShin — Artlife Kempinski Residences Yerevan, the World Trade Center (WTCY), Armenia's first skyscrapers in the Skyline district, and Tumanyan 8 — confirm that the development of Cascade will be in reliable hands.
However, this union is not just about business and urban development; it is primarily a commitment to social responsibility and a pledge to preserve and develop the city's cultural heritage. It is no coincidence that both RenShin and GTB Holdings share a common vision of supporting culture, as both companies are major sponsors and partners of the "Music for future" foundation, which supports talented young musicians. This culture-centered mindset will be the foundation of the new Cascade.
This was also confirmed by Ani Mavyan, the strategic development director of RenShin.
"For us, Cascade is much more than just an urban development project; it is the true heart and soul of Yerevan. By signing this memorandum, we take on the responsibility of breathing new life into the capital's most important landmark, ensuring uncompromising quality and international best practices. Appreciating our partners' provision of project initiation, we now confidently join this process. Our goal is to channel all our experience of over two decades into shaping Yerevan's modern face, creating a landmark structure that will exceed the expectations of both the public and the professional community."
In turn, Gor Mikaelyan, the director of GTB Development, emphasizes that this cooperation has been realized in the interests of Yerevan residents.
"In this project, our main guideline is the interest of Yerevan and the full success of Cascade. With this understanding, we made the strategic decision to unite forces with the absolute leader in the field of urban development. RenShin's financial stability, established high reputation, and exceptional experience in managing mega-projects serve as the main guarantee that our fellow citizens will finally receive the Cascade they have long awaited. This is truly an unprecedented union for the future of our city."
The signed memorandum marks a more dynamic and reliable phase of development for the capital's main cultural and urban hub. In the near future, the companies will present the public with details regarding the project's architectural solutions, management, and global partners.
