The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Georg Papoyan, visited the Ararat food factory on August 31 to monitor the procurement process on-site. The visit also included Deputy Minister Arman Khojoyan. The ministry noted that the company is currently purchasing peaches at a price of 175 drams per kilogram. So far, around 2500 tons of peaches have been procured, with plans to procure 6.5-7 thousand tons throughout the year.
The company plans to produce about 7 million units of canned food and 5-7 million units of natural juice annually. It has utilized a government support program to ensure an uninterrupted procurement process. In addition to peaches, the company also procures and processes eggplants, tomatoes, apples, plums, and more. The products are exported to several countries, including Russia, the USA, Germany, the Baltic states, Romania, Israel, and Kazakhstan.
Since its establishment, the company has seen investments of around 25 million USD, and its workforce reaches 100 employees.
