Narek Karapetyan, head of the “Uzhigh Hayastan” faction, said a new solution will be presented soon that, in his words, could help every citizen of Armenia save hundreds of thousands of drams a year.
Karapetyan made the statement after talks with Petra Dyori, head of the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and HealthCare, EDQM. He said the discussion focused on a plan to reduce medicine prices in Armenia.
According to him, the initiative is aimed at bringing medicine prices in Armenia down to the level seen in Georgia. He did not disclose the specific tools that would be used to achieve that goal.
Karapetyan said the detailed proposal will be unveiled very soon. No additional figures or implementation timeline have been released yet.
