The annual Armenia Engineering Week 2026 opened on October 2 at Engineering City. This year’s event is being held under the theme “Physical AI: Engineering Intelligence for the Real World,” focusing on the shift of artificial intelligence from digital environments into physical systems.
At the opening ceremony, RA Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence Davit Tadevosyan said AI is no longer confined to digital platforms and is increasingly being used in robotics, autonomous systems, smart devices and new industrial solutions.
According to the minister, this creates new opportunities for Armenia as well. He said the country should aim not only to use these technologies, but also to help create them by strengthening its engineering, scientific and manufacturing capabilities and by deepening cooperation between education, science, business and the state.
Tadevosyan added that Armenia Engineering Week is more than a series of professional meetings. He described it as a platform for developing new ideas and making Armenia’s engineering potential more visible to the international technology community.
Bagrat Yengibaryan, director of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, also addressed the event. He highlighted the role of engineering and high technology in Armenia’s development, in promoting innovation and in positioning the country within the global technology landscape.
