Converse Bank outlines its approach to expanding international ties at BACEE conference

In Warsaw, the bank discussed international cooperation and new opportunities for professional exchange.

Nelli Kocharyan, Director of the Financial Institutions and International Banking Relations Department at Converse Bank, took part in a panel discussion held during Bank Pekao FI Day & 52nd BACEE International Banking Conference in Warsaw. The session marked the 30th anniversary of the Banking Association for Central and Eastern Europe, BACEE.

Kocharyan presented the partnership that has developed between Converse Bank and BACEE, as well as its practical value and future potential. She said international banking cooperation is built on trust, direct ties between financial institutions, and a deep understanding of the specifics of each market.

According to her, BACEE provides a platform where banks from different countries can identify shared business interests and turn them into mutually beneficial cooperation. Converse Bank views that engagement not only as a way to broaden its network, but also as a source of tangible business results.

As an example of international professional cooperation, Kocharyan pointed to the Young Talent Exchange program run jointly with Germany's Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. Under the program, Converse Bank employees can receive training at one of Europe's leading financial institutions.

She said the goal is to convert the bank's presence on international professional platforms into practical outcomes, from creating new financial opportunities to developing and expanding business ties between Armenian companies and foreign partners. Converse Bank has been a BACEE member since 2024 and participated in Bank Pekao FI Day & 52nd BACEE International Banking Conference as the main sponsor.
