Possibilities of Armenia's Export to the UAE Discussed

Meeting of the Ministry of Economy with the UAE Delegation

On July 16, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan met with a business delegation from the United Arab Emirates. This was reported by the ministry.

“During the meeting, issues related to the export possibilities of fresh vegetables and flowers from Armenia to the UAE market were discussed. The parties also addressed issues related to the organization of the export process, logistics routes, and phytosanitary requirements.

Arman Khojoyan presented the main directions of the government’s policy aimed at promoting exports, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation with Gulf countries and issues related to the export of Armenian fresh vegetables and flowers.

He also presented the potential of Armenia's greenhouse sector, the range of fresh vegetables and flowers produced in the country, their qualitative advantages, and existing export opportunities, as well as proposed to consider the possibility of exporting mineral water to the UAE.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of companies producing flowers and fresh vegetables, as well as providing logistics services.

They presented the main directions of their activities, the range of products, export experience, and cooperation opportunities, also addressing issues related to organizing supplies and meeting market demands.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation, maintain business ties, and develop practical directions for further cooperation through information exchange, contributing to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and the UAE.

To familiarize themselves with practical cooperation opportunities, on July 17, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the UAE to Armenia Nariman Al Mulla, along with representatives of the business delegation, visited several greenhouse farms to learn about production and export capabilities, packaging, cold storage, and logistics infrastructure.
