YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/ An additional 10 billion drams will be allocated from the Armenian state budget for 2026 for the cashback program for pensioners for cashless payments. This decision was made by the government of Armenia.
From January to April 2026, the monthly growth of program beneficiaries was 6.7%, and the average monthly growth of cashback per recipient from February to April (the cashback of 20% is calculated from February and applies to cashless purchases made in January) was 3%.
About cashback for benefits and pensions
Since July 1, 2022, a cashback program for cashless payments for purchases and utility services has been in effect in Armenia for pensioners and benefit recipients. By government decision, the program's duration has been extended until December 31, 2026.
Initially, the refund amount was 10% of monthly expenses, but not more than 5,000 drams, then it was increased to 12%, but not more than 6,000 drams. From January 1, 2026, a 20% refund has been established, but not more than 10,000 drams per month. Payments are made by the 25th of the month following the reporting month.
