The Minister of Territorial Administration of Armenia, David Khudatyan, today participated in the ceremony for the start of construction of the 7.2 km Kajaran Tunnel in Syunik, along with Iranian Vice President Hamid Pournamadi and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan:
A contract for the construction of the 7.2 km Kajaran Tunnel on the North-South route was signed between the 'Road Department' foundation and the joint venture 'Tunnel Sad Ariana' and 'Abad Rahan Pards International Group'.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the delegation led by Iranian Vice President Seyyed Hamid Pournamadi:
During the meeting, Grigoryan and Pournamadi discussed issues related to the modernization of border checkpoints and increasing border throughput:
They also addressed the progress of cooperation in transport, energy, trade, and other areas of mutual interest:
Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to further develop friendly relations with Iran on behalf of the government:
The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and the Vice President of Iran emphasized the importance of the intergovernmental commission's activities and agreed to continue discussions in that format:
