On July 3, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. According to the government’s press service, the Prime Minister again expressed condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, emphasizing that Armenia shares the grief of the Iranian people.
President Pezeshkian thanked Nikol Pashinyan for arriving in Tehran to participate in the official farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei. He noted that Iran highly appreciates the position of the Armenian government towards Iran in this difficult situation and the humanitarian assistance provided.
The Iranian President congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to develop and strengthen consistently.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on regionally significant issues, emphasizing the importance of consistent steps aimed at strengthening peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
