Garik Paytyan and Esther Zakaryan, who moved from Yerevan to the village of Norashen in Tavush, decided to prove that rural life can be not only peaceful but also creative and full of opportunities for success.
Graduates of Yerevan State University, Garik and Esther returned to Garik's native village after their marriage to start their own business. In the initial phase, they faced many difficulties, but their willpower and perseverance helped them create a unique place - the Zovak guesthouse.
The idea of establishing a guesthouse came to Garik back in 2016 when he organized special tours for tourists in Tavush and faced accommodation issues. Since 2018, the guesthouse has started receiving tourists, and in 2021, the young couple created a gastrobar adjacent to the guesthouse, allowing their guests to taste traditional Tavush dishes.
