Output of sparkling wine and beer also increased in January-August.

Armenia produced 4,894.3 thousand liters of wine in January-August 2026, according to data published by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Of that total, 694.4 thousand liters were sparkling wine of the “Champagne” type.

Compared with the same period of 2025, wine production increased by 23.4%. Output of sparkling wines also rose, up 12.9% year on year.

At the same time, several other alcoholic beverage categories posted declines. Whisky production, measured in 100% alcohol terms, fell 47.1% to 1,341.9 thousand liters, while vodka production dropped 25.1% to 818.9 thousand liters.

Beer production moved in the opposite direction, rising 18.4% to 27,380.5 thousand liters.

The latest statistics point to mixed trends in Armenia’s beverage industry, with growth in wine and beer production offset by weaker output in some strong alcohol categories.
