Representatives of the relevant Armenian and Azerbaijani agencies held a technical meeting in Goris on October 8 to discuss the placement of electricity transmission lines under the TRIPP project, Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure said.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed technical issues related to the placement of the power lines and exchanged views on specific aspects of the proposed route.
The ministry said particular attention was given to coordination between the responsible agencies and to the next steps needed to move the work forward.
Earlier, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan said Armenia and Turkey had discussed connecting their energy systems, and that talks on the same issue had also started with Azerbaijan.
