Armenian Government Approves Ratification of Trade in Services and Investment Agreement with UAE

The agreement aims to enhance economic cooperation

YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved a draft law on the ratification of the agreement with the UAE on trade in services and investments, signed on February 5, 2026.

The document provides for the mutual elimination of barriers in the areas of trade in services and investments, increasing economic efficiency, and creating favorable conditions for expanding economic cooperation and achieving mutual benefits.

Additionally, the agreement aims to activate bilateral economic relations and open new markets for both sides.

In particular, the Armenian side will grant the Emirati side benefits in the areas of agriculture, hunting, forestry, scientific and technical consulting in engineering, healthcare, education, ecology, and postal services.

For its part, the UAE will provide Armenian companies with benefits in the areas of computer services, scientific and technical consulting, equipment repair, cartography, and telecommunications. Certain simplifications are also provided for the provision of legal, construction, accounting, and auditing services.

According to Armstat, the volume of trade between Armenia and the UAE in January-April 2026 amounted to $210.2 million, a decrease of 71.2% compared to the same period last year.
