Around 305 Million Drams to be Returned to the Republic of Armenia

The Prosecutor General's Office has confirmed a settlement agreement

The Prosecutor General's Office reports that a settlement agreement was reached on June 17, 2026, regarding the confiscation of illegally obtained property, which was confirmed by the Anti-Corruption Court's ruling on June 26, 2026. According to the agreement, 304 million 554 thousand drams will be returned to the Republic of Armenia.

On July 29, 2024, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit in the Anti-Corruption Court against the former head of the Control Chamber of Armenia, Ishkhan Serzhikovich Zakaryan, and related persons for the confiscation of illegally obtained property:

On August 21, 2024, the court accepted the lawsuit for consideration:

On June 17, 2026, a settlement agreement was reached in the Prosecutor General's Office with the defendants Ishkhan Zakaryan and related persons, whereby the defendant agreed to return 304 million 554 thousand drams within 6 months.

In the framework of the criminal case initiated on September 23, 2020, Ishkhan Zakaryan returned a total of 15 plots of land covering 71 hectares to the Republic of Armenia in 2023-2024:

On June 19, 2026, a request was submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court to confirm the settlement agreement:

On June 26, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court confirmed the settlement agreement.
