The net profit of Armenia's banking system increased by 7% in the first half of 2026, reaching 214.3 billion drams or $582.5 million. These figures are presented in the rapid ranking report of banks prepared by ArmInfo:
The growth of net profit has returned to natural rates supported by lending activity, rather than temporary factors such as the increase in non-interest income during 2022-2023:
In the first half of 2026, the volume of credit investments reached 8.6 trillion drams ($23.3 billion), while the total assets amounted to 13.8 trillion drams ($37.6 billion).
The total liabilities of the banking system also grew by 20%, reaching 11.6 trillion drams ($31.6 billion).
