Sil Insurance is pleased to announce the resumption of the process of signing agricultural insurance contracts.
Agricultural production is mainly carried out outdoors and is significantly dependent on climatic, anthropogenic, and economic factors. In addition to economic risks, the sector often faces losses caused by natural disasters, which is why agriculture is considered a high-risk sector. Therefore, a viable insurance system in agriculture is one of the key prerequisites for the sustainable and balanced development of the agricultural sector in the Republic of Armenia.
Our company was the first to issue an agricultural insurance contract in the Republic of Armenia in 2019, contributing to the development and stabilization of the sector.
Considering the important role of agriculture in the country's economy, agricultural insurance allows for a significant reduction in the financial burden arising from adverse weather conditions. At the same time, it provides financial protection for farmers by covering production costs and increasing the sector's resilience to risks.
Under the 2026 program, the following crops are subject to insurance: apricot, grape, apple, peach, plum, watermelon, potato, cherry, sweet cherry, and autumn and/or spring grain crops. The risks covered by the program include hail, fire, spring frosts, and drought.
Detailed information about the program can be found at this link.
The amount of the insurance premium depends on the crop, type of risk, location, selected insurance amount, and size of the land area.
Sil Insurance will continue to offer modern and practical insurance solutions, helping people and businesses manage risks more confidently and ensure their sustainable development.
