The Physmath Friends charitable foundation has been selected as the October beneficiary of The Power of One Dram initiative. Funds raised this month will support the Olympiad Movement program by maintaining olympiad clubs, backing teachers’ professional development, and widening access to olympiad education for more students.
Under the initiative, AMD 4,648,503 accumulated in September was allocated to organizing the Climate Change and Women award ceremony. The event aims to highlight women’s contribution to combating climate change and preserving biodiversity.
According to Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of the Communications and Sustainable Development Department at Idram and IDBank, the initiative focuses on expanding access to education and creating opportunities for children in the regions to unlock their potential. She said education and balanced regional development are among the project’s core priorities.
Vardevanyan added that financial and digital literacy courses are also planned for the beneficiary children. In her words, those classes are meant to help them build the skills needed to navigate the modern world.
Serine Avetisyan, Executive Director of the Physmath Friends charitable foundation, said olympiad education helps students develop analytical thinking and perseverance. She noted that Armenia’s future leaders in science and technology are shaped during their school years, and that every talented child should have the chance to realize their potential regardless of where they live.
To join The Power of One Dram initiative, users can make payments through the Idram&IDBank app, the IDBanking.am and banking.idram.am online platforms, or Idram and IDBank payment terminals. For each payment made, the companies donate one Armenian dram to social, community, and educational projects.
