YEREVAN — The Friends of the PhysMath School charitable foundation has been selected as the October beneficiary of Idram and IDBank’s The Power of One Dram initiative. Funds raised during this stage will be allocated to the Olympiad Movement program.
The program is designed to support the continued work of olympiad clubs, the professional development of teachers, and broader access for schoolchildren to olympiad education. The foundation says this format helps build analytical thinking and perseverance among students.
Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Sustainability at Idram and IDBank, said the initiative highlights the importance of widening access to education and creating more opportunities for children in the regions to realize their potential. She said education and balanced regional development are among the key priorities of The Power of One Dram.
Vardevanyan also said the companies plan to organize financial and digital literacy courses for the beneficiary children in order to develop skills needed in today’s world.
According to Serine Avetisyan, Executive Director of the Friends of the PhysMath School charitable foundation, Armenia’s future leaders in science and technology begin taking shape during their school years. She said the goal is to create an educational environment where every talented child, regardless of where they live, can unlock and fulfill their potential.
Under the initiative, the companies donate one dram from every payment made through the Idram&IDBank app, the IDBanking.am and banking.idram.am platforms, and Idram and IDBank terminals. The 4,648,503 drams raised in September were previously directed to organizing the Climate Change and Women award ceremony.
