Marta Kos, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, stated that high-level negotiations held in Yerevan, Baku, and Ankara have elevated cooperation on regional connectivity to a new phase.
"I have just returned from Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, where we moved our work on developing connectivity to the next stage. This can contribute to establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus while diversifying trade and energy routes between Europe and Asia," Marta Kos noted in her post. She also added that enlargement and connectivity go hand in hand, with both contributing to Europe’s stability, prosperity, and security.
Commissioner Marta Kos visited Armenia on July 2 alongside Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.
