Nelli Kocharyan, Director of the Financial Institutions and International Banking Department at Converse Bank, took part in a panel discussion marking the 30th anniversary of BACEE. The session was held during the Bank Pekao FI Day & 52nd BACEE International Banking Conference in Warsaw.
Kocharyan spoke about the partnership between Converse Bank and BACEE, the practical opportunities it creates and the scope for further development. She said international banking cooperation is built on trust, direct ties between financial institutions and a strong understanding of the specifics of each market.
According to her, BACEE provides a platform where banks from different countries can identify shared business interests and turn them into mutually beneficial cooperation. She also stressed that the growth of international ties includes the exchange of professional knowledge and expertise.
As an example, Kocharyan pointed to the Young Talent Exchange Programme launched jointly with Germany Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW). The initiative gives Converse Bank employees an opportunity to receive hands-on training and gain experience at one of Europe’s leading financial institutions.
She said the bank’s goal is to convert its presence on international professional platforms into tangible results, from creating new financial opportunities to building and expanding business links between Armenian companies and international partners. Converse Bank has been a BACEE member since 2024 and served as the Lead Sponsor of the conference.
