This week, the government decided to establish direct management of the Ararat cement plant owned by Tsarukyan. On Thursday, it became known that the Anti-Corruption Committee had satisfied the Prosecutor General's lawsuit concerning not only 'Araratcement' but also all of Tsarukyan's assets.
At the same time, the influence of another businessman, who is the current operator of Armenia's largest mobile operator 'Viva Armenia' and the future owner of the Teghut mine, is sharply increasing. This week it was reported that the TRIPP + trade fund passing through Armenia will be headed by American investor Konstantin Sokolov, who was born in the USSR and moved to Chicago:
Currently, this fund has about 200 million dollars. However, for the Russian-American businessman, this is not such a large amount. Last year, Sokolov donated about 100 million dollars from his personal funds to the University of Chicago.
