Acba bank has opened its new headquarters at 22/1 Isakov in Yerevan. The seven-storey building covers more than 14,600 square metres and, according to the bank, combines distinctive architecture, an Armenian design identity and high environmental standards.
The new headquarters was designed by Italian company Renko. The site includes more than 6,000 square metres of green space and more than 280 planted trees, while the interior features around 200 square metres of greenery with more than 820 plants and flowers. The building also has a solar station with capacity of more than 300 kW.
Acba bank Chief Executive Officer Hakob Andreasyan said the bank’s 30-year history marks the start of the next 30 years. He thanked the bank’s employees for their dedication, work and courage, saying the institution had developed, expanded and grown smarter alongside the country.
CB RA Chairman Martin Galstyan said three decades is enough time to assess both the path travelled and Acba’s contribution to the development of Armenia’s economy. He said Acba has become a provider of integrated financial services for households as well as small, medium-sized and large businesses, while the opening of the new headquarters reflects confidence in the future, long-term plans and broader ambitions.
EBRD Head of Armenia Office Remon Zakarian said the EBRD had supported Acba bank in the construction of the building and in introducing sustainability and high environmental standards. He said the property has LEED certification in Armenia. Renko S.p.A. President Giovanni Gasparini added that the aim of the design and construction process was to lay the foundation for a modern business ecosystem, with the project fully aligned with strict international LEED standards.
