Arminfo: The Constitutional Court is required to do only one thing - to act in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. This was stated on June 27 by Arman Abovyan, a member of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, in a conversation with journalists near the Constitutional Court building.
"It may sound strange, but we have indeed found ourselves in a situation where we simply expect the Constitutional Court to act according to the Constitution, rather than being guided by the whims of any political force, namely the authorities. This is our demand," he said.
According to Abovyan, the shamelessness exhibited by the authorities during the elections is a clear indication that the ruling power has completely lost touch with reality.
"The cancellation of votes by the CEC did not lead to indifference and despair among the citizens, but rather angered them. Because what the authorities are doing is mockery. They must clearly understand that they are not opposing any specific party, in particular, "Prosperous Armenia", but the majority of the population of Armenia, which did not give them their votes," - said Abovyan.
