Aram Mkrtchyan, the head of Yandex Armenia, has been appointed as the regional head of Yango Group for Central Asia and the Caucasus. Mkrtchyan announced this on his social media, stating that Yandex Armenia will continue to be managed by him.
Yango Group is a technology company operating in over 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Latin America, with its headquarters located in Dubai.
Aram Mkrtchyan was appointed as the head of Yandex Armenia in 2024, and now he is taking on the responsibility of managing one of Yango Group's fastest-growing regions. He will oversee business development in Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Such appointments are rare for leaders in the Armenian tech sector, indicating that the management experience developed within local teams is also valued at the international level.
