The United States still considers lifting sanctions on Russian companies to be a difficult process, according to Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president’s special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.
Dmitriev said that while removing the restrictions is not seen as straightforward, dialogue between the two sides on the issue is continuing.
His remarks concern the possibility of revisiting the current sanctions policy affecting Russian companies. At this stage, however, Washington’s position remains cautious, based on his account.
In Dmitriev’s assessment, the issue remains under discussion, but there is no sign of a quick resolution for now.
