Ameriabank has secured 50 million USD from the OPEC Fund for International Development to boost financing for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Armenia. The credit agreement was signed in Vienna during the OPEC Development Forum 2026, which also marked the 50th anniversary of OPEC.
The funds will support the development of SMEs, the creation of new jobs, and the expansion of their activities. The agreement was signed by Ara Sargsyan, head of the Financial Institutions Department of Ameriabank, and Dr. Abdulhamid Al Khalifa, president of the OPEC Fund.
This collaboration with the OPEC Fund is a significant achievement in their long-term partnership and represents the largest financing secured from this institution to date.
