In the city of Tyumen, located more than 2000 kilometers from Ukraine, a fire broke out at an oil refinery today following a drone attack. Ukrainian monitoring channels have published videos of the fire at the Tyumen oil refinery.
The fact of the attack was confirmed by the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor. "As a result of the drone attack, an enemy drone fell in the area of the Tyumen oil refinery. An explosion occurred," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to local media reports, the celebrations for the 440th anniversary of the city were interrupted after the strikes. Also, according to Astra, the live broadcast of the City Day celebrations was interrupted on the official VK page of the Tyumen administration.
The Tyumen oil refinery (a subsidiary of "RI-INVEST", formerly the "Antipinsky Oil Refinery") is one of the largest independent oil refineries in Russia, with an annual processing capacity of about 8 million tons of oil.
The refinery produces Euro-5 standard diesel fuel, gasoline, coke, bitumen, and fuel oil. The enterprise has also previously been subjected to drone attacks in October 2025 and June 20, 2026.
