Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, meeting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Bishkek, said Ankara would continue contributing to peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We will continue contributing to the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The peace achieved will become a source of vital strength for our region,” Erdogan said, Sputnik Armenia reports.
According to the Turkish president, deepening bilateral relations in all areas in line with the principle of “two states, one nation” serves the interests of both countries. He also stressed that the importance of joint steps by Turkey and Azerbaijan is “particularly evident against the backdrop of the current situation in the region.”
