Turkey continues to expand its network of trade representations abroad to gain new export markets and increase its share in global trade. It has 235 trade advisors and attachés in 115 countries. This was reported by ermenihaber.am.
The largest network of Turkey's overseas trade representations operates in Europe. 34% of trade representatives are located in Europe, which is Turkey's traditional and largest trading partner.
The second place is held by the Asia-Pacific region with 38 representatives or 16% of the total. Here, Turkey's trade representations operate in 16 countries and 26 centers.
The third place is the Middle East, where 32 trade representatives work in 12 countries and 21 centers, accounting for 13% of the overseas staff.
In recent years, Turkey has been paying great attention to developing economic relations with Africa, resulting in the formation of a wide trade network on the continent. In 26 countries and 26 centers south of the Sahara, there are 28 representatives.
