The Islamic Republic of Iran has proposed a new trade model to the Republic of Armenia aimed at expanding the volumes of Iranian natural gas exports to Armenia.
According to Armenpress, this was reported by the Iranian Tasnim agency, citing a statement by Iran's Minister of Oil Mohsen Paknejad made during a meeting with Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.
The Iranian source added that for the implementation of the proposal, it is necessary to comprehensively assess the existing infrastructure and the feasibility of expanding gas trade through the Armenian market, utilizing Armenia as a regional transit corridor.
Earlier, it was reported that Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan is on a working visit to Tehran.
