In Syunik province of Armenia, the amount of funds seized for the benefit of the state and communities in the first half of 2026 amounted to 54 million 398 thousand drams. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
According to the source, the amount of funds seized for damages caused to the state, community, and organizations with state and community participation through criminal proceedings amounted to 82 million 354 thousand drams. In particular, in the first half of 2026, through lawsuits for the protection of state and community interests, 6 plots of land with an area of 7.13244 hectares and a cadastral value of 1 million 416 thousand drams were returned to the Meghri community.
During the same period, as a result of prosecutorial intervention in the protection of state and community interests, 5 plots of land with an area of 0.26912 hectares and an approximate market value of 5 million 152 thousand drams were returned to the communities of Kapan and Sisian.
In the first half of 2026, the Syunik regional prosecutor's office submitted 38 criminal cases to the court with charges of serious crimes and 6 criminal cases for particularly serious crimes. A total of 54 convictions for serious crimes and 9 convictions for particularly serious crimes have come into force.
