Starlink has donated 56 more devices to Armenia to prepare for potential emergencies and strengthen internet connectivity stability:
According to Armenpress, this was announced by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mikitar Hayrapetyan, on his Facebook page:
He stated that the equipment was received by the Armenian government as a result of negotiations between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia and the American company Starlink:
“This equipment will enable reliable and high-speed internet connectivity for effective response during disasters and other emergencies,” Hayrapetyan noted:
According to the minister, the initiative was implemented in cooperation with the Ministries of High-Tech Industry and Internal Affairs of Armenia:
The equipment is already in Armenia and is planned to be allocated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia for the needs of the Rescue Service:
It will enhance the diversity of communication options in emergencies, particularly for rescue operations, natural disasters, crisis situations, as well as in cases where traditional communication infrastructures are limited, overloaded, or disrupted:
Starlink is a satellite system operating in low Earth orbit that provides reliable and high-speed broadband internet to millions of users worldwide:
