SpaceX Successfully Launches Starship Rocket for the First Time After Record IPO

SpaceX's Starship rocket successfully launched from Texas

The American aerospace company SpaceX successfully conducted the 13th test launch of its super-heavy Starship rocket from its Texas launch site on July 24. This marks the first flight of the spacecraft following the company's record initial public offering (IPO) that took place last month.

Approximately two minutes after launch, the Super Heavy booster successfully detached and made a controlled landing on the water surface of the Gulf of Mexico, while the upper stage smoothly descended into the Indian Ocean. During the flight, 20 new Starlink V3 satellites were deployed into orbit, which feature larger sizes and double the power of solar panels. Company employees referred to the launch as the “successful number 13” during the broadcast.

In the backdrop of these events, SpaceX's stock has shown negative dynamics, decreasing by 43% compared to the maximum value at the close of trading on June 16 and falling below the IPO price.
