In hot weather, increased vigilance is necessary. The SFS urges representatives of the public catering sector

The SFS calls on representatives of the food sector to ensure safety

The Armenian Food Safety Inspection Body reports that in hot weather, increased vigilance is necessary, urging representatives of the public catering sector and event organizers. In summer, due to high temperatures and the frequency of food poisoning incidents, we once again urge representatives of the public catering sector, especially those organizing large events, weddings, parties, and other mass gatherings, to pay maximum attention to food serving and storage rules.

Special attention should be paid to dishes containing mayonnaise, sour cream, cream, or other perishable ingredients. Leaving such dishes on tables for extended periods is dangerous, as they can quickly become a source of bacterial growth in high-temperature conditions.

Food safety inspection specialists recommend serving food only at the necessary moment and keeping it under refrigeration until then, replacing or removing it as quickly as possible if it has been left out for a long time. Adhering to these simple yet important rules can prevent many cases of food poisoning and ensure the health and safety of people.

In hot weather, vigilance should be our priority, and ensuring food safety is our collective responsibility.
