The Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia received information that entities operating in the construction materials production sector might be evading taxes, underreporting sales volumes, and reducing tax liabilities through non-existent transactions.
Employees of the department conducted multi-stage operational and investigative measures, resulting in the revelation of the actual scale of violations.
For instance, out of 101 trucks that left a cement plant in the Ararat region, 35 had not issued tax invoices, resulting in a loss to the state of approximately 7.2 million drams.
As a result of these actions, the state incurred a loss of about 442 million drams.
The State Revenue Committee will continue its fight against the shadow economy and tax violations.
