The commission will discuss the issue of reaching a trade volume of 100 billion dollars

The meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Turkey will take place in November in Turkey, where several important decisions will be made. This was stated by the Russian ambassador in Ankara, Sergey Vershinin.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have set a goal to increase trade volume to 100 billion dollars. We are achieving this goal. In this context, the meeting of the mixed intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Turkey, which will take place in November in Turkey, will be of great importance,” the ambassador said in an interview with the Turkish channel Haberturk.

He reminded that the co-chairs of the commission are Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat.

“In my opinion, a number of important decisions will be made that will promote our multilateral trade and economic relations. This concerns not only the trade of goods and services but also the development of the tourism sector. Seven million Russian tourists visit Turkey every year,” Vershinin noted.
