On August 1, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the "Meridian" exhibition center, where preparations for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP-17) are ongoing, scheduled for October this year.
According to the government's press service, Pashinyan was briefed on the completed and ongoing work. Tasks for the upcoming months were presented, emphasizing that preparatory work in all areas is being carried out in accordance with the approved program.
The Prime Minister inspected the rooms designated for conference sessions, the work of delegations, press services, technical support, and other functions, as well as familiarized himself with the work on ensuring infrastructural and technical readiness and logistical accessibility.
Pashinyan highlighted the importance of effective inter-agency cooperation and proper coordination with international partners to hold COP-17 at a high level.
