The public attack on the former head of the Office of the Representative of Armenia for International Legal Affairs, Liparit Drmeyan, is not accidental. This was stated by David Ananyan, a member of the council of the "Wings of Unity" party and former head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, on his Facebook page:
"I know Liparit Drmeyan as a highly qualified specialist, a principled person, and a patriot, for whom public service has never meant serving the personal will of any ruler. He served the Republic of Armenia, the law, and the state interests. Today's public attack is not accidental. It is a consequence of Liparit's political activity and the arguments we presented to the Constitutional Court, exposing the financial, administrative, and repressive tools used by the 'Civil Contract' during the elections.
He added that this is no longer an attack against one person. It is a message to all conscientious specialists in the public system: whoever serves may be declared a "Trojan horse" at the will of the head of government and become a target for law enforcement agencies. "I agree with Liparit. The Republic of Armenia is not Nikol Pashinyan. The government is even less so. And we will do everything we can to ensure that law and justice prevail," noted David Ananyan.
It should be noted that today Nikol Pashinyan called on law enforcement agencies to check the activities of the former head of the Office of the Representative of Armenia for International Legal Affairs, including information about his accounts and property.
