The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, believes that Armenia is a modest, small state and cannot have ambitious intentions to mediate between Iran and the United States, as, according to Pashinyan, thinking about entering into the clarification of relations between large countries is not so good and right.
According to Armenpress, Pashinyan stated this during a press briefing following a government meeting.
Addressing the concerns of the Iranian side regarding the TRIPP project, Pashinyan noted that during his last visit to Iran and even before that, he clearly stated that the Armenian side acts openly and transparently.
“We are ready to answer all the troubling questions to eliminate all concerns, because TRIPP is a very large and important economic and infrastructure project. It will only benefit the region, including Armenia and Iran. I want to remind that as a result of the implementation of this project, the railway communication between the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea will also be opened through the territories of Iran, Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, Armenia, and Georgia,” Pashinyan said.
In his assessment, this is one of the directions that refutes the criticisms that the implementation of the TRIPP project excludes any country in the region.
“On the contrary, this is an inclusive project, and, of course, a factor that could hinder it may be regional instability. I hope that stability will be established as soon as possible so that we can implement all constructive projects,” Pashinyan said.
