The Council of the Armenian Bar Association condemned the removal of lawyer Erem Sarkisyan from the case of the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan:
The Council noted that Sarkisyan's rights were violated and called on law enforcement agencies to reconsider their decisions:
"We demand that law enforcement agencies respect the rights of the lawyer and ensure attorney-client privilege," the statement said:
The Council also urged international organizations to pay attention to this issue:
