Pashinyan's Week with Macron and a Heavy Monday with Putin

Key meetings of the Armenian Prime Minister with international leaders

The week of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron took place two days before his call to Russian President Vladimir Putin. This meeting occurred nearly two months after the parliamentary elections, indicating that Russia's reaction to the election results is, to put it mildly, indifferent.

During the meeting, there was no mention of the elections, which many believe is due to Russia's dissatisfaction. Pashinyan had spoken about an agreement for a post-election meeting during the pre-election period, but Putin's response was delayed.

This situation may be influenced by a broader international agenda than just Armenian-Russian issues, which seem to have become secondary.
