Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan suspects Liparit Drmayan, Armenia's former representative to the ECHR, of corruption. He made this statement a year after Drmayan's dismissal, when he was already among the opposition:
During a press briefing, the Prime Minister called on law enforcement to investigate Drmayan's assets and connections. Pashinyan is concerned about why Armenia's representative on international legal issues made a statement contrary to the government's position regarding a case belonging to Samvel Karapetyan:
"I also take this public opportunity to report a crime, but I believe that the Anti-Corruption Commission and law enforcement should discuss how it can be clarified that a person serving the interests of a private company has left. Accounts and assets should be checked," said the Prime Minister.
After the arrest of billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, the government began the process of nationalizing the electric networks of Armenia owned by him:
"Now I call on law enforcement to investigate the activities of the Trojan horse," added Pashinyan:
"This all follows my political activity"
Liparit Drmayan learned about the Prime Minister's report and suspicions through Azatutyun. Later he responded on Facebook: "Today I learned that after the government meeting, 'The Government is Me' remembered me. I acted in the interest of one subject, and that subject is the Republic of Armenia."
Drmayan links the Prime Minister's report to his opposition activities:

"Wings of Unity" also stated that they strongly condemn the Prime Minister's public accusations against Liparit Drmayan:
"We demand to ensure all the rights of our colleague Liparit Drmayan," the statement said.
